Boarding School Curriculum
Lyceum College Boarding has adopted a multi-curricula platform; both British and Nigerian external exams are mandatory. We run a 2-segment curriculum:
Years 7- 9 end with 2 mandatory external examinations: the Junior National Examinations Council Exam and the Cambridge Checkpoint examination. The Cambridge Secondary 1 Checkpoint exams are internationally recognized as a leading educational qualification program. The National Examinations Council (NECO) Junior Secondary Certification Exam (JSCE) is a renowned Nigerian examination system, taken by our 3rd year Junior Secondary School pupils.
Years 10 – 12 also end with 2 external examinations: the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) exam and the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) exam. The IGCSE is a widely accepted and reputable Cambridge based examination body used across Britain and around the world. As the IGCSE qualification is British, it is recognised by leading international Universities and gives our teaching faculty access to high-quality learning resources. The West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE) is widely used across Western Africa with proven success.
We also tutor students for university entry and qualifying examinations such as IELTS, SAT, TOEFL and JAMB.
